I fell in love with Computer Science in 10th grade—when Ms. Schilling decided we would code games for tech class. She illuminated a career path I never before knew existed. By then, my family and friends had exposed me to a variety of games: Vice City, UT2004, Warcraft, ClueFinders, Neopets, Burnout 3, Crazy Taxi… I never imagined I would be so lucky to have spent the past 15+ years professinally making games, programming, and teaching next generation.
show moreMy path has been a winding one, in the best way possible. I spent my childhood shifting cultures, countries, and continents, moving from Mumbai to Hong Kong, Zurich, and Michigan, all before age 17. None of this stopped me from stepping up at every school to lead group projects, volunteer, tutor, explore countless hobbies, and more. My adaptability, resilience, emotional intelligence, and leadership stats got some incredible bonuses!
I started my first job as a simulation developer at University of Michigan while still earning my degree in CS-Engineering. Then, I worked at a non-profit makerspace, All Hands Active. I became treasurer and then joined the board around a critical time when applying for 501(c)(3) and raising funds to afford it; this allowed All Hands Active to officially gain the non-profit status.
Finally, I set out to chase my dreams… never would I have imagined they would come true! I moved to San Diego to join Rockstar Games as a multiplayer technical designer on Red Dead Redemption; then I drove to San Francisco to write Computer Science curriculum at Girls Who Code; and, finally, a short flight across the pond landed me in the UK, where I joined Playground Games and soon became the Lead Technical Designer on Fable. It’s been an incredible journey to sum up in a few sentences!
Today, I find myself at an inevitable point in my journey: setting out to take all my learnings and pour them into my own venture, Alvera Studios. With an incredible game designer, and human, as my co-founder, I have no doubt that Hervé and I will build a studio fully encompassed by our values, give back to the industries that taught us so much, and ship incredible games that are uniquely ours!

Creative Director & Co-Founder
My love for making games really started as a kid when I began to write adventures, spell, and rules for HeroQuest for my friends, brothers, and me to enjoy. I then quickly started to mod video games, and, with a computer science and a computer art degrees in hand, I joined the industry as a Game Designer, more than 20 years ago.
show moreI’ve been fortunate to work on games such as Wakfu and Dofus-Arena at Ankama Games, The Crew 1 & 2 at Ubisoft, and Fable at Playground Games, spending more than seven and half years designing its most important systems. I have also been teaching Game Design anually at a University in Belgium, Haute École Albert Jacquard, since 2013.
Fuelled by a relentless growth mindset, I learned a lot during my career. Not only about how to craft exceptional games, but also how to optimise the development processes and foster an environment where the team thrives and evolves continually.
I firmly believe that our games can be made in a way more sustainable way (for the workers, studios, and the environment) and that in this better and faster process, they can also be way more unique and interesting, therefore also better for the players. This is one of the main reasons I decided to take the leap of faith and co-create Alvera Studios with Khevna.
